Where To Get The Moonfire Faire 2021 Event Quest?

Obtaining the Polar Bear mount entails completing the short quest chain available as part of the Moonfire Faire 2021 event. The quest Unseasonable Chills can be obtained from Mayaru Moyaru at Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks (X:11.5, Y:13.8). The NPC and location are the same as previous Moonfire Faire events so that veteran players will be familiar with the routine. The quest will direct players to the usual staging grounds for the Moonfire Faire - Costa del Sol.

How to Start the Moonfire Faire Quest in FFXIV?

The Polar Bear mount is straightforward to unlock on FFXIV. It requires you to have reached level 30, however. Here are the steps to get the cute mount:

How to Get the Polar Bear Mount

1). Start the quest Unseasonable Chills, given by the Lalafell Mayaru Moyaru in the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsa (X: 11.5 / Y: 13.8). It can be accessed quickly by teleporting to the Aftscastle.

2). After accepting the quest, travel to Costa del Sol in Eastern La Noscea and speak with Haermaga. You can find them on the island just off the coast of Costa del Sol at (X:34.8, Y:26).

3). Haermaga tells you they are missing ice for their confectionary challenge and asks you to speak with P'obyano, who is a short distance in front of Haermaga at (X:35.7, Y:25.4).

4). After a short cutscene, head to (X:36.6, Y:25.9) and aid Nekeke to prompt another cutscene to play.

5). Return to Haermaga and speak with him for another cutscene.

6). You now need to complete the level 30 FATE "A Blizzard of Bombards" that spawns around (X:36.6, Y:23.3). (If you are too high-leveled, you can sync down to level 35.) The FATE spawns at certain intervals, so if it's not up when adventurers need to complete it, they can wait around at Eastern La Noscea (X:37.2, Y:27.0), and it will appear soon enough.

7). Once the FATE spawns, you'll see a bunch of NPCs and Ice Bombard enemies. The NPCs will flee, and you have to defeat the Ice Bombards. Defeat the Ice Sprites that show up, and burn down the Ice Bombard in the center to complete the FATE.

8). Once it's done, head back to turn in the quest.

How To Get The Polar Bear Mount In Final Fantasy 14?

With that quest out of the way, it's finally time to get the polar bear mount.

Accept the nearby quest called A Treat to Beat the Heat from Nekeke. All you have to do is speak to a handful of people nearby. (This is the quest that actually rewards you with the Polar Bear Horn.)

    • Speak to Haermaga at (X:34.8, Y:26).
    • Speak to P'obyano at (X:34.8, Y:26.3).
    • Speak to Gegeruju at (X:33.8, Y:30.5).

Once you've talked to everyone, return to Nekeke to claim your prize. Use the Polar Bear Horn in your inventory to add the mount to your collection. The Polar Bear also has an emote that you can use by clicking Crystal Ice on your pet Hotbar.

A few other items are added with the event, mainly to decorate your garden: the Moonfire Mask Stall, the ice dessert Costa del Hielo, and the Grilled Corn.

The event will run from August 13 to August 26, so you make sure to log in during the event times to get your free polar bear mount and event items before they're gone for good. In the meantime, though, check out our homepage for more news, guides, and updates.
