This past Saturday, the 18th installment in the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn ‘Letter from the Producer LIVE’ series featured an in-depth discussion led by producer/director Naoki Yoshida on the recent Patch 2.4 release and the upcoming debut of Patch 2.45. According to Yoshida, Patch 2.45 is currently scheduled for a December 9th release.

It’s time to register with your favorite shops in Final Fantasy XIV. Square Enix has announced that in patch 2.45, players will be able to get married in a system known as “Eternal Bonds”.

Back at E3, producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that there will be same sex marriages so everyone can marry their loved ones in the game. The FFXIV team is working on finishing up the Eternal Bonds system, as well as adding a reservation system that will allow players to set a time and date for the wedding which will take place at the “Sanctum of the Twelve.”

Couples who get married in-game are given a very special gift, a Chocobo that only they can ride on (that has to be the most romantic thing ever). If for some reason the couple somehow decides the marriage isn’t working in 24 hours, players can quickly split up by deleting the ring from their inventory.Enjoy!
