One of the most important thing that you must do before starting a new character is choose a proper race of the character to play in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Five different races are all split into two distinct clans of their own with different starting stats, there are a few different choices to make.

From the tiny Lalafell to the large and powerful Roegadyn, these races come in many shapes and sizes. Here is the list of the five races, as well as their starting stats.

The most populous race in all of Eorzea, the Hyur are a human like race of average stature compared to the other races. They have the most diverse culture of any of the races, including different languages and traditions. The Hyur separate into two different clans: the Midlanders and the Highlanders.

The Midlanders

The Midlanders get their name for their clan's long tradition of settling in low-lying regions.
