This is a guide for Final Fantasy Dark Knight. It is about its skills and battle technique. If you can master it, you will play better and level up faster.

Gladiator and Marauder are additional action classes for Dark Knight. Grit Stance is a switching action into tank mode. Damage dealt and damage taken are reduced in this stance and enmity generation and accuracy are increased. It is a skill that you always want active when main tanking.

Dark Knight skills
There are weapon skills there, like enmity-generating weapon skills called Spin Slash and Power Slash that can draw hate as a three-stage combo and opening weapon skill called Hard Slash. There are buffs and debuffs which can be applied like a buff called Shadow Wall which can reduce damage taken and a DoT called Scourge.

Dark Knight can use Salt the Earth (a ground targeted AoE skill) to position with the cursor that has a non-elemental magic attack which can hit targeted enemies.

Dark Knight can use Low Blow which is a single target technique to jump and attack enemies with a cool and unique kick animation. Besides, it has various kinds of abilities including AoE magic (Unleashed) that can increase enmity and single target (Unmade).

Different combo paths have different special effects which is up to the route. Some of the combo paths have MP recovery at the second stage, therefore they can be effective as two-step combos like Hard Slash to Siphon Strike. After Siphon Strike, it is likely to go on with Soul Eater of which HP absorption based on damage take with the amount depending on certain conditions or Delirium Blade. The combo has debuffing effects to weaken the enemy in some extent and still undergoing last second adjustments.

Dark Knight has a MP recovery technique called Blood Price which allows it to recover MP once attacked and an action allowing it to recover MP from its own attack.

The most required skill of Dark Knight is Darkness technique which can consume MP and balance it with MP recovery techniques.

The Darkness action can be learnt from level 30. To increase damage, this state consumes MP. Also, it is likely to stack this with Grit Stance and you should have it on all the time as your natural MP recovery is higher than its consumption when out of battle. Though you get stronger in this state, you can get much stronger when you use Dark Arts that consumes large amounts of your MP.

Some powerful abilities can only be used combining with Dart Arts. As Dart Arts increased with MP consumption, the margin for excellent play will be much tighter. Dart Arts can add additional effects when the actions are used and raise the power of individual actions though it doesn’t raise attack power itself. For instance, while using Dark Arts, with the additional effect of absorbing HP, Abyssal Drain and Soul Eater can be enhanced. And the defensive buff Dark Mind get and increased amount of damage reduction.

Battle Technique
As for main tanking, the flow of battle can be used to active Darkness, set Grit Stance, catch the enemy with a single target magic attack and close the gap between Plunge Cut. You can perform some various combos interwoven with Dark Arts stats when need earn hostility.

In fact, once you master the mechanics, you can easily get high rank monster hunts.
